Up til this point, Touma had been completely oblivious to the state of his clothing. How he looked had been the farthest thing from his mind, but once Polgara reminded him of what he was wearing, he suddenly realized just how silly he must appear to her.

"I rather get new clothes if I can," he said as he twisted around in an effort to estimate the damage done to his jacket. "Just to let you know, I don't normally dress like this at all. This isn't some weird fashion statement or fad I'm trying to follow. I have very legitimate reasons for what I'm wearing, alright?"
